I bought this cozy little recliner stamp a couple of weeks ago. Thought it would be perfect to do some Father's day cards. I haven't had a chance to use it (I wonder why) although I sorta had a few ideas churning around in my little noggin!
Then, today I was picked as one of the 'divas' from the latest EBTKS challenge which used nail polish. (If you would like to see that card you can click here.) Well, there was a gal, Karen Baker, whom I'm sure some of you know.....and she left a comment on that post.....(thanks Karen for your kind words!) and so I had to check out her blog, which I then realized I had visited before, (it's a small blog-world), and from her site I found a new challenge blog!
Now, y'all know how I love me a new challenge. Well, my card is for the CAS challenge blog. And this weeks challenge, I believe they are weekly challenges, was to use buttons!!!! And oh, how I love buttons. It was at that moment that the idea for this card jumped into my mind!
Here's a little close up of the chair and buttons! But the story doesn't end there. I wanted to make the card and get it posted and uploaded to the challenge.....but I had a challenge preventing me from doing so. My good natured, lovey, happy 7 week old (as of just today) was giving me a run for my money. Boy, did he get cranky tonight.....he wasn't letting Kerry hold him, was screaming like no other, which I believe he cried and screamed more tonight than he has in his entire 7 week existence to this point.
After finally calming Kellan down, I was able to get him to sit in his bouncy chair in the kitchen, and so I grabbed the few things I needed for this card (thank heaven for CAS) and ran back up to the kitchen and made this card in the dark, sitting at the kitchen table while listening to the wonderful music of the bouncy chair!
I'm just so happy I got to make a card. Now I just need to snap a picture of it....but as I'm sitting here at the table typing this, my little mister is getting cranky once again.....hopefully I can get him to sleep and then finish this post.
Sorry this has been so long winded!
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Your journey to making this card sure was something else, and so glad that you were able to finish it-albeit in the dark! Perfect sentiment, and I love how the buttons carry over the masculine theme with their dark brown leather color. I especially enjoy the card balanced by the twine in the center. Thanks for taking a gander at the challenge too, this card is great. Hope the little one is better as well.
This is fabulous ... love it!
Thanks for joining us in this week's CAS-tastic Wednesday clean and simple "Buttons" challenge!
