Purse-onally I can't get enough of this paper!

Okay, so I wasn't going to post today, but I had to post, because I saw a little challenge for TCP, and I had just make this card yesterday and I couldn't resist becuase this card fit the challenge perfectly....well atleast I think so....I cannot get over this patterned paper! I love it so much! And since polka dots seem to be one of my things lately, I thought this little purse would be perfect! And even thought it's not a TCP image, I have yet to acquire any of their stuff (not that I haven't wanted to, just haven't gotten around to it....must be next on my list for sure)....perhaps I'll win and get some goodies from them....yay more stuff to play with!

Trendy Trees

Good Mornin' all- Or good (fill in the blank) for whatever time you're reading this.....wish I had something more exciting to post today, but I spent yesterday cleaning out, and re-organizing my entire stampin' area-storage cubbords and all....things have gotten quite out of control lately....a whole lot a' stampin' and not enough cleaning up after myself! But so is life....I got mostly everythnig organized.....except for my "excess paper scraps bin"...what to do with all that paper....it seems like when I create cards and such, I always end up with all of this left over paper(mostly because I pull out like 10 colors to try and end up only using like 2 of them!) that needs to be put away! But who wants to do that? Anyway, here is a little card I did last friday night at Katherine's.....it was the first time I used this stamp set.....I think I need to play with it a bit more.....see what it's capable of!

Another SFYTT...not quite a piece of cake!

Well, I wasn't going to post this weekend....until I remembered that Jen del Muro, was putting out another sketch for you to try today....and I just had to play! So here I am, I have not yet fed my family dinner, my husband just came downstairs to inform me it's almost 8pm as I am typing this, but my card is done.....albeit not one of my favorites....I thought when I saw the sketch, "oh, this design will be so much fun....and a piece of cake"....no pun intended in regards to the card. But for some reason, I don't know if the creative juices just weren't flowin' tonight, or what, but this one was really difficult for me....but I finished it. I have really wanted to use this paper, they are companions to one another.....but perhaps too busy to use together....I don't know if it's really good enough to put out there....but here it is anyway!

A cute little basket

Well.....a little lady, Jen del Muro, who's webiste I LOVE...it gives me so much inspiration, does a little thing called ABC Friday, which stands for anything but a card.....so in honor of her I'm going to post this little number....I did this for a little gathering last Friday night....so much fun. I've been playing around with all these new dies that Stampin' UP has put out recently....they are so exciting and so much fun.....this little basket is one of them and I just love it.....perfect for putting some little "yummies" in to give away....and I love to give exciting things to people! So here ya go, a little something that's not a card......oh and btw, now that Katherine has finished season three of Dexter, I can now freely talk about it....yay! Did Dexter really have to kill Miguel? Yes, yes, I know he did....but I was still sort of sad to see him go.....and should Dexter really be having a baby? Perhaps not the best choice for a serial killer! If you haven't checked this show out....I highly recomend nexflixin' it.....it's amazing, although, if you're easily offended (in any way about anything) I would let this one pass you by! Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Color Challenge #47! I did it again!

Well, second post of the day, but I had to do it, since Kristina put out Color Challenge #47 today, and I'm totally addicted...owls are a favorite of mine lately, so when I saw these colors together, my mind went immediately to owls! And aren't these guys cute? And I even used up some patterned paper from the stash....perhaps some day I'll reach my goal of using it all up before purchasing or opening any new paper....but I doubt it! Ha! I am having so much fun with these challenges, that I think I'm going to have to go back through the archives and do some from the past that I never got around to doing.....
Paper: Whisper white, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, So Saffron DSP, Tango Tangerine Textured CS
Stamps: Image - Stamping Bella; Sentiment- Stampin Up
Ink: chocolate chip, close to coccoa, creamy caramel, tango tangerine basic black
Accessories; tango tangerin double striped ribbon, scallop circle punch, 1 1/4 & 1 13/8 circle punches, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing cartridge, nestabilities long scalloped rectangle, and a little dew drop bling....maybe from Michaels?

A slice of cake?

So technically it is Thursday, albeit, I have yet to go to bed for Wednesday.....but I can't sleep, I tried to finish a card while watching LOST, and the end result was really crappy...I wish I could say it was giving me pains in my sleep or nightmares, but the ugliness of it would not even allow me to get to sleep, so here I am....down in the stamp cave....I have cleaned up my table, that you saw posted yesterday, and so now I am going to create something fabulous so I can go climb upstairs and go to bed....but I will post this card, which I am happy with...I thought this cake stamp from Impress was to die for....how many slices of cake stamps do ya see out there? Mostly just the whole cake....and with a flower to boot....right up my alley! And the sentiment I just couldn't pass up - getting to that stage in life!

Not a card.....

How to begin? First off, I am embarassingly messy and cluttered when I get into my creative papercrafting/stamping mode......and then I was inspired by my "cousin" who posted a picture of her bedroom on facebook, in hopes it would inspire her to do something about it....so I guess that's what I'm doing here.....if I let y'all know what my craft table looks like when I create a card, perhaps there is a downside to all my creativeness.....I've had many people ask me how I design/create the things I do....well here is my answer for you!

Something Colorful!

Wow, I can't believe how late in the day it is already......but I have had a sick child today, and have already been puked on....so I guess I'm doing okay to just have clean hair at this point! This is a card that I started making thinking I would use it for a little party I did Friday night, but ended up doing some other things instead....which you will more than likely see later in the week! I had a lot of fun with this card...I am totally in love with this Pink Flamingo DSP from Stampin' UP! And the flowers...who doesn't love bright colorful flowers? Just my card swap group when they have to cut them all out!

Jen's SFYTT

So, I know I already posted today, but I just had to do it again, because I came up with this card for a card challenge over at Jen Del Muro's site....visit her at http://iheart2stamp.com/. Anyway, here's what I cam up with for her SFYTT.....I've been dying to use these corduroy buttons ever since they arrived last week! They will be available in the new Mini occasions catalog on April 1. The butterfly and leaves are also new from this catalog! I wanted to use these colors in combination with each other since I saw them used on a card in the Idea Book..... and I just can't seem to get away from butterflies lately either....there are so many cute ones out there lately! So here's to the second post of the day! And I'm still trying to figure out the best way to capture these cards with the camera....so forgive me!

Monday, Monday with a flower!

Happy Monday, Y'all! I have just been completely tickled (still) from entering Kristina Werner's collor challenge....I think that I am going to have to play every week now! As if I needed one more thing to be addicted to. Today's card is one I did last week.....I got this new stamp from Impress, and I love it....I wanted to keep it simple color wise, and this was the result. I'm stil trying to find the best lighting to capture my cards with....it seems if I use a flash, it washes out the colors, but without one, it doesn't seem right either.....so hang in there with me, I'll get it figured out at some point!

Stamps: Image:Impress; Sentiment: Verve

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Blush Blossom, Patterned Paper...? Something from my stash!

Ink: Basic Black, Blush Blossom

Acc: Black grograin ribbon, nestibilities rectangular scallep dies. and of course dazzling diamonds glitter!

Color Challenge, Here I come!

So first of all, I think I'm going crazy....three posts in one day? What am thinking? But I bopped on over to Kristina Werner's blog today, and saw a color challenge I couldn't resist. What a yummy color challenge! I have been following her blog for almost a good year now....I think the first challenge I happened upon was #4 or something....I have always been inspired, but not until now have I done something about it...a color challenge virgin, I am....so here's what I came up with.....I've had this stamp set for, well about 3 months now, and have been meaning to use it, but just haven't been motivated, I guess...until now! Yay for me!

I wish I had a picure of the girls' hats, because they were absolutely darling! I believe the credit for these hats belongs to Debra, auntie of the birthday girl!

A Darling Card for a Darling Girl

Okay, so I got everyone off to school today...yay for me! This is a card that I originally wanted to make for my niece for her 2nd birthday....when I first saw this stamp used on a card by Jen Del Muro....I had to have it! So adorable, don't ya think? Anyway, a mix-up with Canadian mail, and I didn't get the stamp in time....so I made a card for Islay......almost my niece....friends are the family you choose for yourself, right? So here it is....enjoy!

I was able to actually make two cards yesterday that I am happy with....so I'm sure those will show up here in the next couple of days....and since two packages arrived at the house today, one from Stampin' UP and the other from Two Peas.....I am hoping to distract the kiddos and have yet some more time to stamp this afternoon!

Oh, What a Day!

So today totally backfired on me....what was supposed to be a morning with 2 hours to myself, quickly turned into a day with all my children home. I'll save you all the painful details; let's just say I'm still in my pajamas and it's amazing I'm getting something posted at all!

This card is from last Thursday's card class, and is in keeping with one of my goals to use up all the patterned paper that I currently have before I buy more, or open a new package. This is really hard for me, but so far, so good!

Stamps: image is SU Party Hearty, Sentiment is from Impress stamps

Who gives a hoot?

So it's the second thursday of the month, card class....better known as "stampin' ladies night" at my house....I just finished teaching pre-school, and now I get to prep all my cards for tonight....hopefully my kids will be cooperative! Anyway, I'm really into owls lately, so here is another card that we will be doing tonight! It uses a couple different DS papers....I'm forcing myself to use up all of my patterned papers before I purchase any more, or open any new ones...and for those of you who know me, you know how hard this will be...I'll keep you posted!

Kristy's Birthday

I recently got some new stamps from Stamping bella.....and had one stamp in particular that I knew I had to use for my friend Kristy's birthday card....and she really likes purple, so this is the result, and I have to say that I am quite pleased with how it turned out.....it seems like for every 6 or so cards that I create, I get one that I like....so I'm glad that the numbers turned out in my favor, and this one was a keeper!

So it's Tuesday

I had great aspirations of stamping all weekend so as to have many wonderful things to post everyday this week, but, well, the weekend came and went, although I did manage to get my entire room cleaned out and have lunch with mom! Needless to say there was much to be desired in the stamping realm. But with the snow yesterday, all activities for the kids were cancelled, so I did manage to get some stamping time in....and here is the result! This card will most definately show up at card class Thursday night. The little baubles are my newest crave....aren't they fun?

Whoa-Hold your horses, Girlie!

So I realized today, that I wanted to post a card, because that was the whole point in having this site, to inspire me to create more and have new and exciting things to share with all of you, yet the irony of it all has almost but strangled me...can you tell I've been watching a lot of Dexter lately? So I just decided to go through my recent stashes, and find a couple of simple things that I have loved creating lately, this one inspired by a card I saw from Kristina Werner...so here we go.....I also realized that now, I have to be on top of things so that I can post all my supplies used as well... hopefully I'll get this down sooner than later! For future reference, unless otherwise posted, all supplies are Stampin' UP.

Am I really doing this?

Okay, so I never, and I repeat NEVER thought I would be one of those people who would have a blog....but what better way to unleash the craziness of my life, as well as have a forum to showcase what I love to do most in life, and that is be a mom to my 3 boys and stamp....perhaps not necessarily in that order......so here goes, hopefully this will motivate me and I will have some exciting cards and projects to share with y'all in the real near future....and as I am typing, my 3 year old has just pee'd all over the bathroom floor....right in fron of the toilet, without bothering to take his pants off first....here goes my afternoon!
